Course objectives
The course is a suplementary seminar for GEN101 Sociological theories of gender and provides basic knowledge and orientation in theoretical conceptualizations of gender. The seminar is organized as discussion about the texts that students are asked to read.
The main goals are as follows:
to be able to understand a theoretical text
to be able to provide good arguments in sociological debate
to learn how to write an abstract of the text
to learn how to write an own sociological text
