Výukové metody
Each session is capped by a lecture/discussion; includes readings and/or a case; the reading is meant to give some complementary discussion related to the session’s topics or to provide some orientation to the problem addressed in the session. Analysis of cases is the principal method by which one will develop an understanding of the frameworks and skills that we discuss in different sessions. Guest speakers may present their experiences concerning the main topic of selected sessions.

Project: max. 5 points
Term Report: max. 5 points
Final exam: max. 10 points
Term Report
Bring your distinct impression about each section of course by writing a Term Report/presenting your finding. Therefore you have to deliver three Term Reports. During every section, it is supposed that you search and find some more materials about the topic of that section such as articles, books, reports of real successful projects and so on. Based on what you learn and find out in the class and what you study as complementary references, you should write a manuscript in 3 pages and deliver it in one week after completing every section to me. This is a single activity and every student must write it on his/her own.
Project
Through this activity, students are supposed to select an industry and investigate E-Business Models in that industry. They are expecting to review articles, books and reports published about e-business models in the selected industry and prepare a presentation. The presentation should include how the subjects covered in this course are applied to that industry. The chosen industry should be clearly explained. Students should explore the whole industry space and find worthwhile cases to study. An overview of the cases, and the ontology used to clarify the e-business model, have to be stated. Providing diagrams, tables, graphics and others, student should clearly explain the cases from the viewpoint of proper ontology and theories. All the components of the e-business models, according to the chosen ontology should be discussed. Determining critical success factors, lessons learned from e-business implementations, recommendations for startup businesses as well as brick and mortar companies in the industry, and discovering black box of e-business models in the selected industry are expected result of the project. Any novelty and innovation is extremely appreciated.
Final exam
The final examination will be held on date. It is close-note, close-book, based on theoretical (lectures and readings) and practical (cases and speaks) discussions presented during the term.
