Course objectives
Reading of Latin sources on the historic of Classical creative arts: books 34-36 of Pliny's Naturalis historia on Classical sculpture and painting; passages from other Classical authors on this theme.
Syllabus (in Czech)
  • Soustavně se budou číst nejvýznamnější pasáže z 34.-36. knihy Pliniovy Naturalis historia pojednávající o antickém sochařství a malířství (výběrově také některé menší úryvky z dalších autorů k příslušné tématice).
