Prerequisites
The recommended prerequisite includes passing basic courses of the Public Economics study program, i.e. Public Economy and Public Sector Economy. Knowledge of public economy, public finance, and non-profit organizations is assumed. Students are supposed to be able to write logically and handle legislation concerning public administration.

Course objectives
The objectives of the course are to master the methods and tools of public sector management and their economy, funding, legislative and institutional frame, as well as to understand their relationships with public sector reform processes, the reform of public finance, and membership requirements in the EU and NATO. Students should also acquire skills in evaluating the economy level and the management of specific public sector organizations, particularly in terms of assessing their controlling documents, quality methods, and financial management.

Assessment methods
Continuous assessment using the grades of seminar papers marked as passed (weight of 20 %)-failed and self-correction tests with the grading scale A-F, at least 60 points out of 100 are required (weight of 80%). The written exam is graded as follows: A 91-100% B 84 – 90 % C 76 – 83 % D 68 – 75 % E 60 – 67 % F Less than 60 %.
Important information! If students commit a prohibited act, such as using various forbidden tools, cribbing, taking out any part of the exam or any other cheating, the teacher is allowed to interrupt an exam and to grade a student with F, FF or FFF according to the seriousness of the offence. The mentioned procedure relates to all the activities that are included in the final evaluation of the course (seminar work, essays, tests etc.).
