Course objectives
Main objectives can be summarized as follows: to elaborate the knowledge of the basic Italian grammar with the emphasis on the oral and writting competences; to develop the vocabulary (lexical and phraseological excercises). Historical, cultural and social background is also part of the classes.
In the end of the course the student should be able to write,speak end understand a simple topic.
The entrance level of the European frame is A1.

  • 1. Possesiv pronouns.
  • 2. To order in the restaurant.
  • 3. Italian cuisine.
  • 4. "Indicativo imperfetto" and "trapassato prossimo": the use.
  • 5. To describe and tell the story in the past.
  • 6. To express accord and disaccord.
  • 7. Italian film.
  • 8. The "acusative" prononuns.
  • 9. Shopping.
  • 10. To offer and refuse help; to express sorrow and joy.
  • 11. The partitive pronoun.
  • 12. To offer help: accept and rifuse.
  • 13. Italian shops and typical products.

Teaching methods
Lectures and excercises.
The course involves regular grammatical, lexical and phraseological excercises, listening and speaking excercises. E-learning included.
Assessment methods
The student has to deliver 3 essays in Italianand 3 traductions during the semester.
Attendance and participation in the course (min. 70%) is required.
Credit - written test.
