Course objectives
Main objectives of the course can be summarized as follows: to elaborate the knowledge of the Italian grammar with the emphasis on the syntax; to be able to write a short paper or speak briefly about a topic or describe a picture.
Syllabus
  • 1. Possesiv pronouns.
  • 2. To order in the restaurant. Courses of the italian cuisine.
  • 3. "Indicativo imperfetto" and "trapassato prossimo": the use.
  • 4. To describe and tell the story in the past.
  • 5. The "acusative" prononuns.
  • 6. To offer and refuse help; to express sorrow and joy.
  • 7. Reflexive verbs. Impersonal form.
  • 8. Buying: to determinate the size,the price and quantity ("ne").
  • 9. The "dative" pronouns. Unstessed pronouns in the compound tenses.
  • 10. Discussion on the TV programmes and concerts. To express the preferences and options.
  • 11. Imperative.
  • 12. Music.
  • 13. Simple and compound conditional.

Teaching methods
The student has to deliver 4 essays and one traduction in Italian during the semester. Attendance and participation in the course (min. 75%) is required.
Assessment methods
Written and oral examination aimed at testing the language skills according to the A2 level of European reference frame.
