Course objectives
The course assume that students have already passed a course on social policy during their bachelor degree programme.This course develops further the gained knowledge and presents a deeper insight into the policy of social security and social services, elaborating in more depth individual elements of social security policy, introducing to comparative models of social security policies, enhancing the knowledge on historical context, reform and instruments of social security and social services policy in the Czech Republic.

Assessment methods
The exam involves a midterm exam (basic knowladge) and a final oral exam. Course requirements include the presentation of a chosen topic in class and writing up a seminar paper. Requirements (including the literature) are specified further in the interactive sylabus and the downloadable study plan befor the semester starts.
