The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
The project „Biology for Life and Health – Integrated Thematic Instruction“ has already been experimentally realized in a newly created working centre of education for sustainable life, where students and teachers are enabled to work together in order to acquire new knowledge, not only through the use of multimedia, internet and libraries, but also through active confrontation with natural reality – in the biotopical garden (garden maintained in correspondence to biological principles).
The main objectives of the course are the following:
. -The cultivation of active learning and self-reflection, the mounting of professional skills
. -The goal-directed interconnection of integrated scientific base with the creating pedagogical experience
. -The intentional creating of implicit pedagogical knowledge through expertly-well internalised and holistically conceptualised basic curriculum in model situations via learning from experience.
