Course objectives
This course will provide information on the current state of the environment and problems related to it on the national and worldwide scale. The students will be acquainted with the political and legal means of environmental protection and care, and with the barriers of their application and its effectiveness
Syllabus
  • 1. Ecopolicy - the basic terms, contentaims. 2. Global Environmental problems. 3. Bodies partici-pating in the environmental protection, NGOs, Aarhus Convention. 4. Means to control the environmental pollution. 5. Economic aspects of environmental policy. 6. Ecolabelling, ecoagriculture and ecomanage-ment. 7. Environmental policy in the EU. 8. Air pollution. 9. Water pollution. 10. Waste and the environment. 11. Nuclear energy and the environment. 12. Prevention in the environmental protection.
