Course objectives
At the end of this course students should be able to understand as the economic as the legal aspects of the complex cross-border transactions. Especially the economic and practic knowledge connected with the realisation of the international trade transaction will be the core of this course.
Syllabus
  • The role of contracts in international commerce. 2. Issues affecting international trade transactions. 3. Trade terms and INCOTERMS. 4. Kew issues in international sales contracts. 5. Precise drafting of contracts. 6. Offer to sell goods. 7. Purchase order. 8. Consulting contract. 9. Sales representative contract. 10. Franchise agreement. 11. Distribution agreements. 12. Licensing agreement. Barter and quasibarter agreement.

Teaching methods
Group project. Homework. Training of practical skills.
Assessment methods
The lectures, class discussions, group projects. Coloquium: an essay on the scheduled topic (aprx. 10 pages), the presentation of the essay and the defence of it.
