Prerequisites
German language knowledge. Basic awareness of the German literature of the 20th century, in the best case knowledge of the original works of literature.

Course objectives
At the end of the course, the student will be familiar with the key works of German-written literature in the 20th century. These are works which have at least one film adaptation that can be considered a part of the canon.
