Course objectives
Issues of Feminism in Education The course pays attention to some of the issues that are concerning feminism. It concentrates on the central terms of feminism. The course examines the specialties of the women movement in the region of the Czech Republic. It will be particularly concerned with education and with searching the questions connected with this problem. Does sex influence individual persons relationship to education? Why are there differences in attitudes to education? Is the way girls learn different from the way boys do? Why do we struggle for balanced influence of both sexes in education? What is the female and male principle? What problems are connected with the feminization of schools?
