Course objectives
The course is intended for students of all fields of study excluding the field of Finance. It is focused on the fundamentals of banking, especially analysis of commercial bank activities,its position in the economy and types of products and services offered by commercial banks. During the course students should become acquainted with the risks inherent in commercial bank activities and the influence of particular bank products on the bank balance sheet and its rentability. Another part of this course is dedicated to the development trends of a banking system, banking products and services. The course is necessary for conversion of knowledge about banking system, commercial banks and banking products.
