Course objectives
The course is an introduction into study of ICT issues in the area of education. Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in education are discussed from different perspectives and at different levels. Students will familiarize themselves with didactic technologies (projectors, digital camera, digital video, Dictaphone etc.) and will learn to use them in a practical way. Especially, they will focus on implementing ICT in school education (e.g. in teachers work, school life) and in adult education. Attention is also paid to research of the issues, already conducted research projects, their results, possibilities to find empirical data about ICT in education etc. After completing the course students should have an insight into general issues of ICT implementation in education and possibilities of related research work, they will be familiar with some educational-political documents treating ICT in education, they will be able to find empirical data on the topic and interpret them. Students will gain an overview of (not only) possibilities of didactic use of ICT in school. Besides, they will be able to use modern didactic technological appliances.

  • Introduction (Sources, Definition of the Subject, etc.). Modern Educational Tools (Didactic Technologies) and their Use in Teaching. ICT in Education (General, Theoretical View). ICT in School, in School Education and in Teacher’s Work. ICT in Adult Education Research of ICT.
