Course objectives
Essential points for the lecture series of Strategic management in small and medium enterprises are mainly engaged in the idea of a strategic issue in the development of small and medium-sized enterprises, establishing the company, including the subsequent development of entrepreneurship, innovation, technology transfer for small and medium-sized enterprises, marketing and management co-operation, as well as the development of business in the area of SMEs in emerging countries. Other points are crucial in explaining the development of SMEs in terms of their life cycle. Understanding the relationship of SMEs in the context of the Austrian terms of development has resulted in the institutional development of the critical issues and developing recommendations in SMEs and SMEs in terms of external relations - entrepreneurs, employers, the interests of neighbouring groups, educational institutions, legal measures, etc. The referral information is information in subjects Microeconomics, Management, Marketing, Corporate economy.

Assessment methods
Duty of a student, who is a team member, is to present 1 seminar work – business plan of specific company worked out within team. Team consists of maximum 5 members. Quality of the seminar work is taken into account in final classification. Organizational division into teams proceeds during first two seminars. Students have to join and choose a day of presentation. Terms of presentations are copying schedule of lectures and seminars. Presentation itself has to be elaborated in German in MS PowerPoint. The whole presentation in the form of seminar work has to be elaborated also in German. Honour a presentation day is a necessary condition for successful finishing the course (except honest letter of apology). To finish the course successfully, students have to present seminar work in team in form of PowerPoint presentation and liberal construction.
