Course objectives
The aim of the course is to provide students with experience of being in the small group. In the beginning, students try what is it to be a member of the group, then will be focused on group processes and examine them from view "from outside". Students will be familiarized with the different approaches of work with a group and with different kinds of leadership too. Practical part will always be anchored in theoretical mycelium.
Syllabus
  • Formation and group development over the time;
  • Expectations of group members, rules and standards;
  • Group dynamics (group roles, cohesion, tension and work with them, etc.);
  • Different types of groups (group therapy, therapeutic community, development group, encounter group, experiential group) comparisons;
  • Different kinds of techniques in the group;
  • Group leadership;
  • Crisis situations at work with group
  • Ethical aspects at work with group;
