No preliminary education in music required, its recommended (isn't necessity) passing the lectures PV121 - Computer and Music I.

Course objectives
The teaching provides elementary knowledge in the application of the computer in music. It can expand students knowledge of computers art, algorithmization, programming of music composing. Students will learn about professional programs for rises, editing, notation and performing of sounds and they will get knowledge about working with commercial and special programs for the creation of music (especially with the program "CCOMP"). Students will teach the basics of sound composition in animation and computer games by the forms of students work in computer music. At the end of the course students should be able to create computer compositions.

Teaching methods

Assessment methods
There are three possibilities to complete the course. To gain one credit, students have to write a short report summarizing the knowledge gained in the course. To gain two credits (colloquium), students have to create a piece of work and participate in a student contest (contest rules are presented on the course web page) or to create or adapt a music program for composers, adapters, users, and computer specialists. To gain three credits (exam), a high-quality work (especially a student-made program demonstrated to other students) or a success in the contest is required.
