Course objectives
After the first year of study, students take the qualifying examination in the main subjects taught in the first two semesters. As students are expected to master normative grammar of Modern Greek as fast as possible, the qualifying examination for both one-field and two-field types of studies consists of the following subjects: Modern Greek Grammar I and II and Practical Language I and II. The qualifying examination is oral and students register for the examination as for an extra subject (REPzk).
The examination consists of a written and an oral part. The examination begins with the written part. Students who fail the written part of the examination are not allowed to take the oral part of the examination.
The aim of the qualifying examination is to validate the knowledge gained in the compulsory subjects during the first year of studies.
