Course objectives
The most important aim is to give the basic knowledge of Sardinian language that will help all students to understand daily phrases and basic expressions (basic personal and family information, daily communication, the local geography, current issues etc.) We will use the LSC (Sardinian Common Language). At the end of the course the students should understand the meaning of short parts of oral and written texts.
Syllabus
  • Sardinian language course will be based on the Sardinian Grammar of Bèrtulu Porcheddu, with the multimedial materials available by the professor or on www.sardegnadigitallibrary.it. The course will develop two aspects of Sardinian Language: 1. Practical part: • Introduction to Sardinian lexicology. 2. Theoretical part: • Current situation of Sardinian language. • Morphology: adjectives, nouns and verbs. • Phonetic vocals, consonants and other elements. • Syntax. • Table of diatopic varieties characterizing Sardinian language. • Brief references to the alloglote languages spoken in Sardinia: Alguerian-Catalan (alguerés), Sardinian-Corsican (gadduresu) and Sardinian-Ligurian (tabarchin).

Teaching methods
Sardinian language course will be based on the Sardinian Grammar of Bèrtulu Porcheddu, with the multimedial materials available by the professor or on www.sardegnadigitallibrary.it.
Assessment methods
There will be a test held at the end of the course, in which students will show their linguistic knowledge (e.g. daily life situations etc.). (The course will be ended with a test where a student will demostrate his/ her linguistic capacity and knowledge (e.j. simple situations of daily life).
