Course objectives
The course offers unique possibility for students to attend thematically specific workshops and lectures through an intensive study programme. The course consists from a seminar (at the beginning and end of autumn semester 2014), three main workshops (15-16th October, 2014) and presentations at the Identities in conflict, conflict in identities conference (17-18 October, 2014).
Syllabus
  • End of September - beginning of October: self-study of study literature
  • Third week in October (date will be specified) - seminar and discussion on the topics of study literature
  • Thematically specific workshops: 15-16 October, 2014
  • 17-18 October 2014 - Identities in conflict, conflict in identities conference

Assessment methods
For successful completion students need to write position papers from the course readings (that means preparation for all workshops) and write a final essay. Students are expected to actively participate in the discussions.
