Course objectives
Students can obtain information about minority and ethnic groups in Central Europe, about their current problems and recent state of protection of their rights. Course offer students to summarize information about current state of minority protection in Central Europe. Students are offered to obtain an ability to reflect problems of minorities and migration in the context of recent EU politics of social inclusion and social cohesion of society.

Minorities in the Czech republic and Slovakia. 4. Czech minorities in central Europe. 5. Nations and their states - from nations political to ethnic nations and from multi-national states to national states 6. National and ethnic minorities in countries of Central Europe 7. Central European regional and language minorities, ethno-regions and euro-regions, ethnic local governments 8. Old and new minorities 9. Legal protection of minorities 10. Protection, inclusion, and integration of minorities through social policy tools 11. Minority situation and national minority politics in countries of Central Europe 12. Multi-ethnical and multi-cultural relations in Europe and in Central Europe - visions and perspectives
