Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
The aim of this course is to gain basic knowledge about inclusive education and provision for students with special educational needs in czech maistream schools. The course topics consisted of the desription of the Czech educational system, educational laws, conditions of inclusive education, provisions for students with special educational needs depending on their difficulties and counselling system. The emhpasis will be given to comparison of inclusive educational conditions in foreign countries compare to the Czech Republic.

  • Education system in the Czech Republic Special education and inclusive education in the Czech Republic Psychological and counselling services Educational law and provision model in schools Factors influencing inclusive education - school environment, teacher, organisation of tuition and other school conditions Factors influencing inclusive education – class climate and cooperation between teachers, parents and school Support measures for pupils with specific learning difficulties Support measures for at-risk pupils, pupils with behavioural disorders and pupils from socially disadvantaged environment Support measures for pupils with speech disorders Support measures for pupils with physical disability and for pupils with chronic illness Support measures for pupils with intellectual disability, learning difficulties and for pupils with autism spectrum disorder Support measures for gifted and exceptionally gifted pupils

Teaching methods
Lectures and class discussion. During the course students will work on group project concerning syllabus topics.
