Course objectives
The objective of this course is (1) to initiate, (2) to support, and (3) to develop professional vision, professional knowledge, and professional action of future teachers. The course builds on the students' knowledge and experience gained in the courses of field didactics and teaching practice. The objective of this course is (1) to initiate, (2) to support, and (3) to develop professional vision, professional knowledge, and professional action of future teachers. After passing the course students will be able to:
• use basic specialized terminology of the field school education;
• apply gained knowledge for description, analysis, interpretation and evaluation of school as an institution and organization, curriculum documents and teaching situations;
• describe educational environment of the school where they conducted their teaching practice;
• describe and critically analyze selected school curriculum;
• plan and evaluate their own teaching unit (objectives, methods, expected outcomes, evaluation of pupils, learning tasks, etc.)
• reflect on their own teaching experience.

Teaching methods
Lecture and independent studying of compulsory as well as recommended literature.
Assessment methods
Oral examination. Because the course is integrative in its nature, it is assumed that students prepare for the oral exam globally. The exam is not based only on knowledge gained during lectures and self-study; it focuses also on experience of teaching practice and reflective seminars, and knowledge of educational psychology.
