Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to:
- Incorporate the Environmental Education into existing curricula
- Explain the difference between Ecology and Environmental
- Explain basic ecological concepts (population, community, ecosystem);
- Characterize global environmental problems; - Explain how to dispose of different types of waste;
Syllabus
  • 1. Environmental education in FEP. 2. Ecology and environmentalistics - basic concepts. 3. Sustainable development and his assumptions. 4. Basic ecological (biological) concepts. 5. Running of matter and energy. Protection of nature. 6. Ecology and chemismy, role of a teacher. 7. Polutants, toxicity, preventive. 8. Waste products. 9. Energy. 10. Environment generally. 11. Environment of the Czech Republic. 12. Landscape.

Teaching methods
The Form of teaching: a lesson of base type, individual work Methods of teaching: Lecture, work with literature.
Assessment methods
Assessments methods: written test, oral debate. Final score: basic orientation in issues - verification of knowledge through a test and during the discussion. To attend the colloqium it is nescessary to obtain 16-20 b from test. Students which obtain 11-15 must pass an oral debate. If they obtain 10b or less, the must repeate the test. Oral debate students execute by the teacher to which they belong according to the first letter of his surname.
