Course objectives
The aim of the course is to provide students who consider studying abroad with specific communication and language skills. Students will be trained in soft skills as well. At the end of the course students will be able to cope with various situations in foreign countries successfully. Listening and speaking will be practised particularly.
Syllabus
  • 1 Introducing oneself, field of study, faculty, university 2 Application form, cover letter, communication with university or college staff 3 Accommodation, communication with landlords 4 Travelling (by bus, train, plane, car), asking the way (how to get .., public transport,etc.) 5 Unexpected situations (e.g. loss of luggage, theft, illness, at the doctor's, health insurance, etc.) 6 In the bank, withdrawal, cash machine, etc.
