Course objectives
An aim of the course is to discuss selected problems using literature review from economic geography. Students will analyze selected problems of economic development, mainly from the Czech Republic, but also from the EU. Students will elaborate seminar paper on selected topic. Seminar paper will be presented by students in the public discussion.
Syllabus
  • Discussions on selected problems using current literature. Information about the newest trends of Czech economy, development, movements. Screening of a picture about a current thesis, public discussion. Introduction of several themes for seminar work. Public presentation of seminar works.

Teaching methods
The basic teaching methods are class discussion on the development of objectives of Homework’s and presentations of homework’s.
Assessment methods
The condition for a successful finishing of the course is attendance in the seminars, plus participation in the discussion. Grading is based on presentation of homework.
