Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to play accompaniments of songs, create preludes and postludes to songs.
Syllabus
  • Playing instrument – the piano: Playing the cadences 5 types / up-scale, chromatic modulations in all keys, accompaniment - Tonic key–the fifth - in the left hand The basics of improvisation: Accompaniments to 15 songs of the 2nd grade and 10 songs of the 3rd grade A / melody played in thirds and sixths
  • B / mixed and the general harmony
  • C/ creating the prelude, interlude, postlude in songs
  • D / stylized accompaniment (waltz, syncopated etc.)
  • E / modulations, transpositions to key C, D, Es, E, F, G, A (major) and c, d, e f, g (minor)
  • Playing of 2 compositions of his/her own choice and the technical skill of given student.
