The course is aimed to understand theory of martial arts.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course students should be able to: - Know proper place of martial arts in combatives taxonomy - Diferentiate among terms „martial arts“ and „combat sports“ - Divide martial arts into diferent groups according to various criterion. - Understand basic techniical, tactical and philosopfical principles of martial arts - Know theory of martial arts and is able to describe its aplication in physical education and sport - Know history and evolution of martial arts - Know curicular frames of selected martial arts schools - Understand the meaning of martial arts didactics

  • Martial arts in combatives taxonomy. Taxonomy of martial arts. Sacralisation in martial arts. History of martial arts. Terminology of martial arts. Ethics and aesthetics in martial arts. Technical and tactical curiculum of martial arts.
