Course objectives
At the end of the course student: has knowledge of the nature and legal character of patents, trademarks and copyrights in the frame American law; should be able to formulate his own concept and solution in the field of intellectual property.
Syllabus
  • 1.The necessary elements of a patent, a trademark and a copyright 2. The commercial value and utility of the protected status 3. Examples of things included and excluded in the various categories 4. The statutory definitions used to create and limit rights of inventors, trade names and artistic creators 5. The administrative process for establishing and registering the protected property 6. The extent of exclusion of competing products, trade names and artistic works 7. Various sources of law and treaties applicable to the subjects.
