Course objectives
The aim of this course is to gain knowledge about the prevention of oncological diseases, the manifestations, symptoms, diagnosis and therapeutic procedures in oncology, with the implementation of nursing process in individuals with cancer disease.
Syllabus
  • Nursing in oncology - lectures to students studying bachelor
  • 1st Week: Epidemiology, etiology, pathology and classification of cancers
  • 2nd Week: Classification of cancers, dg. cancer, the method of treatment.
  • 3rd Week: Surgical treatment of cancer, radiotherapy and its complications.
  • 4th Week: Chemotherapy and its complications.
  • 5th Week: treatment of pain, psychological problems of treating oncological patients.
  • 6th Week: Tumors of the mammary glands, gynecological tumors.
  • 7th Week: Bronchogenní cancer, oral cancer, nasopharynx, larynx.
  • 8th Week: Tumors of the skin.
  • 9th Week: Tumors of CNS.
  • 10th Week: digestive tract cancers.
  • 11th Week: Tumors of the uro-genital system.
  • 12th Week: sarcoma of bone and soft tissue.
  • 13th Week: Leukemia and Lymphoma.
  • 14th Week: The transplantation of bone marrow-island tour life.
  • 15th Week: Repetition, preparation for the test.
