The diploma thesis deals with the teaching about culture during English lessons in elementary schools. It concretely deals with the teaching about the culture in English speaking countries. The first part is theoretical; it specifies two basic documents according which the education in foreign language is followed. Next, the language teaching methods and their approach to the cultural aspects are described. The practical part describes lesson plans which were realized, and their evaluations. In the last part – research – there is information from 10 basic schools, mainly the information related to teaching about culture of English speaking countries in English lessons.
