The thesis “Technical museums and their didactic usage at basic
school“
deals with the technical museums in Brno and Vienna.Both
museums are
here compared in detail, mainly in their didactic usage. The
thesis
describes the tutorial programmes and chosen exposition. In the
thesis
there is also a pedagogical experiment described. I wanted to
measure
to what degree the excursion in Technical museum of Brno
contributes
to the education at basic school. The last part deals with my
own
didactic suggestions. There is a project for 8th grade at basic
school
outlined there. For this project I chose the topic of hydraulic
and steme engine. Its aim is the own work of pupils, the
presentation
in PowerPoint about technologies that we use for gaining
water-power.
The excursion to Technical museum in Brno  takes part in this
project
that contributes to the discussion about the use of source of
energy.
At the end of my thesis I mention my own handouts for Technical
museum
in Brno, that it has never had. The museum in Vienna has them
in its offer for schools. In these handouts the right answers
are marked by red colour. The pupils fill them independently
and they
learn how to find the information.
