Message Sequence Chart (MSC) is an appealing textual and
graphical formalism for describing communicating systems. MSCs
can be composed into High-level Message Sequence Charts (hMSC)
with greater expressiveness. Recently, time and probability
properties have been introduced into MSC. We provide a survey
of the current work related to MSC extended by probability. We
also suggest how to deal with stochastic information in~MSC and
hMSC and how to compute performance properties of the system.
