Thesis focuses on the most important concepts of the ideal
human from antiquity till Middle Ages. The Thesis is divided in
seven parts, introduction and conclusion included. Second
chapter is focused on two types of ideals, i.e. the Spartian
type and the Athenian one. Chapter 3 is concentrated on the
Middle Ages' ideals. We can distinguish aristocratic ideal and
the burgeosie one. Chapter 3 contains the ideal of the saint
too. Chapter 4 concentrates on the Renaissance ideals with
follow the evolution of the aristocratic and the bourgeosie
ideals. Chapter 5 gives information on the baroque period and
its ideals. Chapter 6  focuses on the polarity between the
ideal of the "good savage" and the enlightened citizen.
