Anotace: Anotace: Tato disertační práce se věnuje vybraným aspektům Čapkovy cestopisné tvorby. Je rozdělena do dvou hlavních částí: teoretické a interpretační. První, praktická část prezentuje stav výzkumu o Čapkově cestopisné tvorbě a je věnována žánrové charakteristice cestopisu. Cestopis je ukázán v průsečíku dvou hledisek – diachronického a genologického. V této části jsou postupně zobrazena různá stadia vývoje cestopisu jako útvaru velmi proměnlivého a heterogenního. Zároveň je zdůrazněna jeho mimořádná schopnost zrcadlit v sobě proměny doby – stylu, způsobu vnímání světa a estetických měřítek. V genologické části dominuje snaha o vymezení hlavních vlastností cestopisů, které konstituují tento útvar. Soustavná pozornost je věnována v první řadě uměleckému cestopisu, za jehož hlavní vlastnost lze považovat rovnováhu mezi dokumentárností a uměleckostí, čili mezi funkcí informativní a estetickou. Teoretická část mapuje různá stanoviska prezentovaná v moderní literární vědě, s důrazem na práce českých, polských a slovenských vědců. Celou teoretickou částí se prolíná otázka umístění cestopisu mezi tvorbou beletristikou a žurnalistikou. Teoretická východiska z prvního oddílu umožňují analýzu jednotlivých aspektů Čapkových cestopisů, která se uskutečňuje v druhé, praktické části. Nejprve je nastíněn vztah Karla Čapka k cestování, zázemí jeho cest do zahraničí a přítomnost motivu cesty v jeho tvorbě beletristické. Pak následuje rozbor jednotlivých aspektů Čapkových cestopisů: zobrazení prostoru, který je chápán jako systém archetypálních univerzálií (např. hora, dům, moře, město) a času, jako doplnění kategorie prostoru. Důležité místo zaujímá rovněž otázka vypravěče - cestovatele, která přímo souvisí s první interpretační kapitolou praktické části. Cílem praktické části je poskytnout originální interpretaci Čapkových cestopisů s použitím elementů archetypální kritiky při současném zdůraznění symbolické dimenze cestopisů. Odhalení jednotlivých mechanismů vnímání, zobrazení a uchopení světa dovoluje vyvozovat závěry týkající se samotných autorových filozofických a uměleckých postojů, i když, což je třeba zdůraznit, není možné ztotožňovat vypravěče s autorem. Závěrečná kapitola, kterou tvoří shrnutí výsledků bádání s použitím teorie fikčních a možných světů, ukazuje, že se Čapkovy cestopisy vskutku nacházejí na pomezí tvorby beletristické a novinářské, obsahují v sobě nejlepší elementy převzaté z obou oblastí; jsou texty bohatými jak po dokumentární, tak umělecké stránce. Lze je tedy považovat za významnou, ačkoli mnohdy opomíjenou, součást Čapkovy tvorby. …víceméně

Abstract: Abstract: This dissertation deals with selected aspects of the Čapek’s travelogue production. The thesis is divided into two parts: theoretical and practical. The first practical part presents the results of recent research of Čapek’s travelogues and it is devoted to the genre characteristic of travelogue. The travelogue as a genre is shown in a crossing of the two viewpoints: diachronic and genologic. In this part there are gradually demonstrated different phases of the travelogue development as a very unstable and heterogenic literary genre. At the same time it is emphasized its remarkable ability to reflect changes of time – style, the way of perception of the world and esthetical criterion. In the genre part there dominates the effort to define the travelogue features, which constitute this genre. Systematically the attention is primary paid to the literature of travel, in which we can find the main feature - the balance between documentary and literary part, which means between informative and aesthetic functions. The theoretical part surveys different attitudes presented in modern literary theory, with the special emphasize on works of Czech, Polish and Slovak scientists. Through the whole theoretical part we also think out the problem of travelogue position between imaginative literature and journalism. The theoretical data from the first part allows analyzing particular aspects of Čapek’s travelogues. At first we sketch out Čapek’s approach to traveling, details about his travels to the foreign countries and the presence of the traveling motive in his literary works. Afterward we continue with analyzing several aspects of the Čapek’s travelogues: presentation of the space that is constructed as a system of archetypal universals (e.g. the mountain, the house, the sea, the city) and time that complements the first category. The important part of this research is the question of the narrator – a traveler, too, which is directly linked to the first interpretative chapter of the practical part. The goal of the practical part is to provide the original interpretation of the Čapek’s travelogues with the use elements of the archetypal criticism and it is focused on symbolical dimensions in the Čapek’s travelogues. Disclosing of several mechanisms of depiction, perception and grasping the world allows us to have a broad view on the author’s philosophical and artistic outlooks, though we cannot identify the narrator with the author himself. The final chapter which contains the summary of the whole research results in the context of the fictional and possible world’s theory shows that Čapek’s travelogues can be placed between imaginary literature and journalism. They carry the best elements in both fields; the texts are rich both from the documentary and artistic point of view. They can be regarded as significant, although sometimes underestimated part of Čapek’s literary heritage. …víceméně
