    She graduated in teaching of vocational subjects for primary and secondary schools with a specialization in services and commerce (2013) and teaching of geography for primary schools (2023) at the Faculty of Education, MU. She graduated from the Faculty of Arts of MU with a Master's degree in Education (2013) and completed her doctoral studies in Education (2019, supervisor Prof. Milada Rabušicová, dissertation title: The educational research knowledge transfer between academics and teachers). Since 2018, she has been working at the Department of Geography and the Department of Education at the Faculty of Education, where she is involved in the training of future teachers, education of PhD students and also teaches in lifelong learning programmes. She is also intensively involved in educational research and was responsible for the development of Geo4Tea.com, an app aimed at improving the quality of geography teaching. In the past, she has participated in several research projects of GAČR (1x principal investigator) and TAČR (1x principal investigator) focused on curriculum research or research on geography education. She is also currently working at the National Pedagogical Institute of the Czech Republic in Prague (since 2018), where she focuses on curriculum innovation and development.

    Michaela Spurná is a motivator and visionary immersed in innovation in education. She works as a teacher educationist and researcher at the Faculty of Education at MU. In the past, she has been involved in research and training on more general pedagogical topics, but currently she focuses more on the creation of conceptual documents and geographical education. She has a lifelong interest in the transfer of research findings into practice. She also works at the National Institute of Education of the Czech Republic in Prague, where she focuses on educational policy and curriculum development. In her free time she enjoys gardening and woodworking.
