Course objectives
The main objective of the course is to understand the interaction of transnational corporations in the international environment. At the end of the course, students should be able to: - understand the international environment in which multinational organizations operate - understand the forces that drive global and European business - gather the necessary information on factors affecting the behaviour of multinational companies operating in a specific region - explain impacts of operations of multinational organizations, their local/global influence; - assess factors involved in the management of multinational organizations; - assess the function of business processes in international management and to draw up arguments to use - understand and apply the concepts developed in the literature.
Learning outcomes
By the end of this course, students are expected to:
1. master concepts needed to understand international and global management and strategy;
2. understand and analyse issues that are central to international and global management;
3. understand and analyse issues that are central to international and global strategy;
4. evaluate the international human resource strategies and practices employed by multinational corporations.

Teaching methods
The class sessions consist of interactive lectures and case studies. Out-of-class workload consists of: - working on course-related tasks (case studies, literature review, argumentation) - 2 online tests - readings related to topics of seminars.
Assessment methods
Two online tests, working on course-related tasks (case studies, literature review, argumentation), and active participation. Final test (written) in the exam period.
