- Course objectives
- The aim of the lectures is to introduce the elementary management knowledge. It means to define the elementary conceptions, to incorporate management to the system of the relevant scientific disciplines and to present the historical background of management in context of the development of economical, social and polotical conditions. Other lectures concerne the knowledge connected with planning, decision-making, implementation and control. The attention is then paid to the issue of organizing, managing and administrating the company, human resource management, communication, information sytems, profile of manager and identity of the organization. Introduced knowledge will be explained by the help of practical examples from the domestic and abroad practice. The aim of seminars is to develop the skills and habits, which are essential for practical managerial work. The seminar activity is connected with the longterm managerial game simulating the activity of the top-management in the big corporations. There are practiced and integrated not only thematic areas introduced in the lecture part, but also thematic issues from other subjects. Examination: oral. The necessary condition to apply for the examination is the succesful participation in managerial simulation game.
