- Course objectives
- The course focuses on practical aspects of the relationship between economics, policies and the environment. The aim of the course is to deepen and extend knowledge and skills especially in the field of current development and trends in the environment, economic evaluation of the environment and its use in CBA, implementation of environmental policies and tools into the functioning of organizations.
- Learning outcomes
- At the end of the course, students should be able to understand, explain and apply knowledge of fundamental environmental impacts of economic development.
Students should be able to:
- understand the main economic context of environmental protection;
- select and apply in practice non-market environmental valuation methods in CBA;
- understand the role of public non-profit organizations in environmental protection;
- identify instruments for environmental protection and environmental creation,
- identify and apply environmental protection tools in organisations. - Syllabus

- Teaching methods
- Teaching takes the form of block lectures. During the semester, students work out 2 POTs focused on practical applications of the topics discussed. Continuous self-study of compulsory and recommended literature is expected.
- Assessment methods
- During the semester, students process 2 exercises which are part of the final evaluation of the course. It is necessary to obtain 60% points for admission to the exam. The course ends with a written exam (25 questions). For successful completion of the course, students have to achieve at least 60 % of correct answers.
