Course objectives
Administrative Science (PRSV) The course aims to give students specialised knowledge of the rules of functioning and structure of public administration. Administrative science concentrates on studying a particular administrative activity in the process of its operations, as well as on the organisational structure of public administration, targeted at increasing its efficiency. The course will focus on defining the basic concepts, relation between administrative science and administrative law, technical and organisational principles of building public administration, relationships between authority and competence, theoretical foundations of organisational structure, taking into consideration the principles of the theory of organisation, communication structure, principles and methods of functioning and the problems of efficiency of fulfilment of tasks in public administration. Credit requirements: active participation in seminars and a seminar essay. Examination: oral.
