Course objectives
In the area of quantum information processing the goal is to use special quantum phenomena and limitations to get a new quality in the area of information processing, communication and cryptography. In this education framework several methods and approaches will be combine in order get deeper insides and expertise in quantum information processing, communication and cryptography: lectures of specialists, talks of students, cooperation on research projects, analysis of new directions and so on. To do that rich international contacts will be utilised. At the end of this course students will be able to understand basic principles of how information can be processed using quantum effects and processes. Moreover, students will understand basic principles of the design of quantum algorithms and cryptographic protocols.
