Student is swimmer. Participation is subject to obtaining the relevant swimming credit at the latest before the start of the course.

Course objectives
The aim of the course is to control the basics of canoeing on slightly flowing water and to plan a course of water tourism for school facilities.
Learning outcomes
After graduation from is student able to:
-basicly handle canoe on slightly flowing water
-aplicate obtained teoretical knowledge of safty mastering canoe
-to distinguish and apply in practice the technique of different shots on a canoe
-aplicate right way arms and equipment made for canoing
-planing courses of water touristic for schools
Syllabus
  • 1. Introduction to studies (credit requirements, literature)
  • 2. Theory of mastering technique on canoe on flat and slightly flowing water
  • 3. Safety mowing in water terain
  • 4. First aid on flat and slightly flowing water
  • 5. Arms and equipment made for canoing
  • 6. Practical training of skills on flowing vater – technique of straight, reverse and draw stroke on canoe, entering and exiting the stream, traverse the stream
  • 7. Teoretical preparation and planning of water sports activities

For swimmers only. Students have earned swimming credit prior to the start of the course. The course will take place during the exam period - June, or at the end of August on the Vltava River. Transportation to the place is together by bus. The price includes transport and boat rental with accessories and is around 2000,-CZK. Other costs, such as accommodation in campsites and meals, are paid by the students individually.
