Course objectives
Martial arts are seemed as a global cultural fenomenon. The cours is focused on clarification of historical and cultural background of martial arts.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course students should be able to: - Know proper place of martial arts in combatives taxonomy - Diferentiate among terms „martial arts“ and „combat sports“ - Divide martial arts into diferent groups according to various criterion. - Understand basic techniical, tactical and philosopfical principles of martial arts - Know theory of martial arts and is able to describe its aplication in physical education and sport - Know history and evolution of martial arts - Know curicular frames of selected martial arts schools - Understand the meaning of martial arts didactics
