Course objectives
Student will be able to demonstrate the basic cross country and alpine skiing techniques
Learning outcomes
The course focuses on teaching downhill skiing. After successful completion of the course the student should:
- demonstrate knowledge of boating and cornering techniques, the history of skiing
- distinguish appropriate and inappropriate ski equipment
- demonstrate the four elements of the art of downhill skiing.
Lesson one element descending and cornering (carving curve) will take place on short skis (130 cm).

  • Practical training:
  • - Arch plow
  • - Arch of Přívrat higher deposit
  • - Basic parallel arc
  • - Carving arch - Arch of the slope
  • - the slope of the arc
  • - arc connected across the fall line
  • jointed arches, refresher exercises.
  • Theoretical lectures:
  • - Basic concepts,
  • - The history of skiing,
  • - Techniques descending and cornering,
  • - Safety in the mountains, ski equipment.
