Course objectives
The main objective of the course: - the improvement of the locomotive abilities and fitness; - the support of students' healthy lifestyle, - acquaintance with the environment, sporting equipment, and theoretical basics of the sports discipline (rules, commands, categories, contests), - safety rules of the game, practical sporting skills and their development.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the students will: be able to apply the acquired gaming skills in singles and doubles become familiar with the correct use of the sporting equipment know the showdown rules
Syllabus
  • Theoretical training: - acquaintance with the history of the sport, - acquaintance with player categories, and national and international contests, - safety rules of the sports activity. Practical training: - acquaintance with sporting equipment and its use (protector pads, blindfolds, paddles and rattling balls, - warm-up exercise, - limbering-up exercise, - basic playing skills (holding the paddle, orientation and movement in the playing field - in front of the goal area, basic batting hits, control - stopping the ball, serve practice), - playing skills development (attack techniques practice, defense practice), - cooperation of players in doubles, - matches - singles and doubles.

Teaching methods
Theoretical excercises and practical training.
Assessment methods
Exercise, credit - the credit is given to students for the attendance. 3 classes can be misses and there is no need of any apology. The substitution of more absences is not allowed.
