Course objectives
This course is taught at Bachelor's degree program. It represents an introduction to psychology as both an academic and practical discipline. The main objectives can be sumerized as follows:
- to understand the style, forms and principles of academic study of psychology;
- to acquire basic orientation in psychological disciplines;
- to introduce students to current ways of thinking in psychology;
- to characterize main concepts and approaches of current psychology (including historical roots);
- to acquire basic psychological terminology;
- to introduce students to questions and practice of self-reflection and to offer ways of self-cognition and understanding other people.
