Course objectives
The theme of the course are studies of reproduction of human population, where special concern is given to the particularities of Czech population. The first part of the course offers introduction to the field and description of the structure of the population of the country. The interpretation deals with structures according to age, sex, socioeconomic status, education, religion and ethnicity. The first part of the course ends with chapter about households. The second part of the course is oriented on fertility, mortality and nuptiality, continues to analyse abortion and divorce problems, questions of migration and population theories. The final session deals with population development worldwide.
