Course objectives
The course provides basic information about the development of Czech media, on one side marked by the emergence of first newspaper leaflets at the turn of the 15th and 16th centuries, and on the other side, by the period of the First Republic and the Nazi occupation of the Czech lands by the (1939-1945). The course does not aim at being a systematic overview of the defined topics; it tends to concentrate on the turning moments allowing a developmental shift.
