Course objectives
The aim of the course is to help students develop writing competence to create an academic text.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the course students should be able to: • a) prepare and write an expert text or paper; • b) put into practice the basic methods of academic writing; • c) analyze the legal cases; • d) respect the ethical rules of academic writing;
Syllabus
  • The course covers topics such as: • Preparation for writing projects; • - choose issue and problems, • - formulate the important questions and hypothesis, • - adopt the paragraphs and structure for analysis, • - ethical rules of legal writing, • - footnotes and quotations; • - style of legal writing; • - structure and evaluation of legal arguments, models of legal argumentation and justification, • - How to write a legal argument? • - researching legal concept, case law, judicial opinions, statute, regulations and other legal information;
Teaching methods
Frontal teaching method with the personal participation of the student in the faculty building when an initial mandatory consultation is held including the definition of the issues and systematics, key concepts and institutes, assignment of the course completion. Synchronous form through three continuous mandatory group consultations implemented in the MS Teams environment, the following methods will be implemented (to be selected according to the reality): group and cooperative learning, critical thinking, project-based learning, problem solving from practice, brainstorming, emphasis will be placed on providing feedback, not frontal teaching Asynchronous form (individual guided self-study) of the materials provided in the IS information system and/or textbooks (study texts, videos, podcasts, audio-visual presentations and other interactive materials)
