Prerequisites
Lectures (3x4 hours) •Genetic ane epigenetic base of complex diseases • Molekular biology methods- their actual sense in diagnose and therapy of complex diseases • News in pathophysiology of complex diseases • Workshop (6 hrs in laboratories in case of interest - "Practical miminum from molecular biology".
Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is also offered to the students of the fields other than those the course is directly associated with.
fields of study / plans the course is directly associated with
there are 230 fields of study the course is directly associated with, display
Course objectives
The aim of the subject is furher confirmation and enhancement of pathophysiology knowledge, both at organ and molecular levels.
Learning outcomes
The student will be able to review results of basic genetic studies of complex diseases from the point of view of methodological and statistic evaluations. P> Student will confirm sontemporary knowledge of general and special pathophysiology (inflammation, microbiom, obesity, cancerogenesis, complex diseases) ;
The workshop will offer basic experience about practical performance of molecular biology methods (PCR, restriction analysis, electrophoretic presentation of genotypes, RT-PCR, sequencing)

Teaching methods
The education will be realized by lectures with continuous discussion with students. Thew workshop is realized in the research laboratories of the Department of Pathological Physiology with the assistance of postgraduate studnets and laboratory techniciens.
Assessment methods
Students will write an assay on the thema: Genetics and epigenetics in relation to my disertation thesis. The recherche results will be discussed during the oral examination.
